Umanath N Nayak is the founder and CEO of DESIIM. He started his career at the Indian Space Research Organization, as an Engineer/Scientist participating in several space programs. Working through various senior roles, he led specialized design and simulation teams in several other organizations.

He was a technical consultant at MSC Software for India and Europe regions. He headed a rotor dynamics team at GE Aviation. He also started and headed an Engineering services team at CDG - a Boeing Company.

He has helped deploy quality processes such as ISO, AS9000 and CMM at an organization level in several of his roles.

A certified Six Sigma Green Belt, he has published several papers in leading technical journals. Umanath has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Surtahkal, and a post-graduate degree in Structures with Computer applications from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.

Umanath Nayak has a passion for engineering and founded DESIIM to share his decades of experience in engineering services. He wants to help organizations to deliver futurist and cutting edge products through design innovation.
